Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Somnia is a digital platform for dream journaling and symbolic analysis, independently operated and accessible at somn.ia.br. In this document, "Somnia," "we," or "platform" refer to the platform and its operators.
For privacy-related questions, please contact us at info@somn.ia.br.
2. Commitment to data protection
Somnia operates in full compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Lei nº 13,709/2018, the LGPD). We handle your personal data with respect, transparency, and on legitimate legal grounds, ensuring your rights as a data subject.
Your dream data is treated as sensitive information. We never sell, rent, or share it with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.
3. Data we collect
We collect only what is necessary for the platform to function:
- Account data: username, email address, and optionally account type (user or professional).
- Dream content: texts, titles, and metadata (recording date) that you voluntarily enter. All dreams are private by default.
- Generated analyses: the results produced by the Morpheus AI from your dream entries.
- Usage data: anonymous technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and diagnostics.
- Payment data: processed exclusively by the platform's payment processor. Somnia does not store credit card or banking information.
- Communication preferences: consent for daily digest emails and notifications.
4. How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate and maintain your account;
- Generate Jungian analyses of the dreams you voluntarily submit;
- Display public dreams (only when you explicitly make them public);
- Allow verified professionals to access your journal, only after your explicit consent;
- Send notifications and email digests, according to your preferences;
- Ensure the security and technical functioning of the platform.
We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects without the possibility of human review.
5. Data sharing
Your personal data is not sold, transferred, or commercialized. To operate the platform, we rely on specialized third-party providers in the following categories:
- Database and authentication: secure storage of your data and account access management;
- Natural language processing: generation of symbolic analyses by the Morpheus AI. Dream content is transmitted in encrypted form and is not used to train third-party models without consent;
- Email delivery: notifications and transactional communications related to your account;
- Payment processing: subscription and plan billing, without Somnia storing any card data;
- Hosting and infrastructure: delivery of the application with high availability and security.
All providers operate under adequate data protection agreements and are subject to confidentiality obligations. In the event of a legal requirement or court order, we may disclose data as required by law, notifying you whenever legally permitted.
6. Dream privacy
The content of your dreams is handled with the highest level of confidentiality. By default, all dreams are private and visible only to you.
You may make a dream public at any time. Public dreams become visible on your profile and the platform's exploration feed. This action is reversible.
Verified professionals may access your journal only after you explicitly accept their access request. You may revoke that access at any time.
Important: dream content is treated as sensitive information and will never be included in email communications, logs, or third-party systems beyond those required for analysis.
7. Data security
We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- Encrypted communications via HTTPS/TLS across the entire platform;
- Database with row-level access control, ensuring you access only your own data;
- Authentication with support for OAuth providers;
- Passwords never stored in plain text;
- Restricted and audited administrative access.
While we apply rigorous security practices, no system is entirely immune to breaches. In the event of an incident affecting your data, we commit to notifying you and the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) within the legally required timeframes.
8. Your rights as a data subject
Under the LGPD, you have the right to:
- Confirmation and access: know whether we process your data and access it;
- Correction: correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
- Anonymization, blocking, or deletion: of unnecessary data or data processed in violation of the law;
- Portability: export your data in a structured format (available under Settings, Export data);
- Deletion: delete your account and all associated data, upon request;
- Withdrawal of consent: revoke consents granted at any time;
- Objection: object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest.
To exercise any of these rights, send a request to info@somn.ia.br. We will respond within 15 business days.
9. Data retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your dreams and analyses;
- Professional comments on your dreams;
- Account preferences and settings.
Anonymized and aggregated data (such as platform usage statistics) may be retained indefinitely, as it does not allow identification of individuals.
10. Cookies and tracking
We use only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session preferences (such as the selected language). We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or behavioral analytics cookies.
11. Minors
Somnia is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. If we identify that we have collected data from minors without parental or guardian consent, we will delete that information immediately. Please contact us at info@somn.ia.br if you become aware of such a situation.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated by email or via a notice on the platform with at least 15 days advance notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
