About Somnia

Somnia is a place to record your dreams and look at them without hurry.

How it works

You write the dream and Morpheus, the Somnia assistant, returns a reading based on the analytical psychology of Carl Jung: symbols, archetypes and what they may say about the moment the dreamer is living. The reading is a hypothesis to think with, not a verdict.

Every dream is private until you decide otherwise. You can make one public, and verified professionals only follow your records if you accept their request.

What Somnia is not

Somnia does not diagnose, does not predict the future and does not replace psychological or medical care.

Who created Somnia

Sergio Montini

Sergio Montini created Somnia. A Brazilian and British citizen, Sergio lived in London for 17 years, working in technology and serving as Global Web Producer at Ask.com (AskJeeves UK). Sergio studied Systems Analysis and Development and completed a postgraduate degree in English Language and Literatures, both at Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paulo. Sergio founded Inglês da Rainha School and has taught English for more than 15 years. Somnia grows out of technology, language and literature, and a life lived between cultures: a place to keep your dreams and look at them with care, without hurry and without easy promises.
